Star Velocity tracks how fast a paper's reference implementation is gaining stars on GitHub. Daily snapshots feed a 7-day exponential moving average that smooths weekday and weekend cycles. Papers with no public repo carry a zero. The velocity feeds the Star Velocity Component of Signal Fusion and surfaces as a chip on the daily dashboard's Today Rail.
